I.
I believe I’m qualified and have the background from previously working as a
Field and help desk PC technician as well as the private sector to effectively
execute this position. In
my 10 plus years as a I.T. Field and Help
Desk technician I’ve delivered, installed, maintained, troubleshot, and
performed preventative maintenance on a vast variety of computer hardware and
software various customers. I have instructed in the use and function of PC and
related software and hardware to various professionals. I’ve installed
hundreds of software applications and over 10 types of Windows and Mac operating
systems. Installed, configured, programmed, and tested a variety of equipment;
troubleshoot, tracked and resolved computer software, hardware, and network
problems in a timely manner. I provided the role of help desk and A/V support
thus I reviewed schedules and assigned work orders for timely and appropriate
action to resolve the current issues. I’ve had the task of monitoring and
maintaining systems, servers, and the ability to take appropriate corrective
action or refer escalated issues for timely repair of any issue that may arise.
I can maintain and restore backups; order computer supplies and equipment
as needed; organize and execute the removal
or disposal of old supplies and equipment per OSHA requirements. I’ve had the
experience in documenting recurring, difficult, or complex problems and making
and maintaining operational procedures via database work order programs. I have
and can build a new pc from scratch or take a pre-built PC and create an image
or take an image and put it on a system. I’ve
installed new or updated versions and installed updates to those application
software packages and other application specific supporting software. I’ve
installed, configured, customized, and troubleshot operating system software;
installed, configured, customized, troubleshot, and managed server operating
systems and networking and related protocols. Configured and set up rack mounted Cisco switches,
Personal PC network switches, IP phones, Active Directory software, built,
installed and configured Windows based servers such as Server 2000 and Server
2003, and IIS. Maintained work order requests, scheduled, and allocated
resources given by phone, and in person in Audio visual. I have maintained
a specific inventory system of equipment in field in both A/V and IT services. I’ve
done other technical jobs related to a PC and some not related to a PC, such as
extensive Audio Visual and convergence background that gives me a unique view
into how to service PCs and related equipment.
I can think “outside the box” and solve almost any problem in an
efficient and timely fashion as not to disrupt the work flow process.
I have extensive background it the multi-Media field and can bring that
background and understanding to any job as well. I can monitor, and
resolve problems with several computer platforms; install, test, document,
operate, maintain, and integrate client computers in a networked environment. I
can design and build both hardware and software on a client computer pertaining
to his or her needs. In my past experience can maintain, distribute, execute,
and uphold and document software licensing and vendor maintenance agreements. I
have and can provide technical assistance to, and train end-users on the use of
hardware and software. I can provide customer service at the highest
professional level. In my time as a PC technician I’ve also acquired an A+ certification and a Certified Software Management license. I’ve worked on Gateway, Dell and Hp/Compaq, various other manufactures of PC hardware, software and peripherals. Thank you for your time and consideration,
